Let’s Get Started!

Spinal Stress Relief For All Stages Of Life.

pregnancy.JPG

Headaches, stress, and athletic injuries.  For many years, I didn’t give a second thought to the choices I made or how I took care of myself.   Fast forward through life, a physical job, four pregnancies, a mom to four kids, wanting to continue to stay active, and the joys of getting older. Chiropractic care has given me more time, energy, and health than I realized it would when I started.

To hear my patients share how much more enjoyable life is with chiropractic care is a complete joy for me.  Its a dream to care for others who are looking to care for themselves in the best way possible. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Just had my first appointment and I’m so impressed by how kind, professional and thorough they were. Dr. Kate is amazing as well as the rest of the staff! Also the location is very calming and beautiful! Looking forward to continuing care!

Frequently Asked Questions About Your First Visit

Will it help?

When you have a concern, its understandable to want to know if you’re on the right track, especially if you’ve been struggling for a long time. At HCC, a first visit gives us the best way to know. Here’s why: Chiropractic care makes a profound difference with how you function and feel because it can improve how your brain and body communicate through your nervous system. A common cause of miscommunication is spinal stress. Chiropractors refer to this as subluxation. If subluxation (spinal stress) is present, there is a good chance you are going to experience changes, feel better, and have improved health.

Learning more about your concerns is important and actually checking your spine for subluxation patterns is critical to know how chiropractic can help. This must be done in person. I will look at the complete picture to see how it is affecting your life and health and how I can help.

How long will it take?

In order to truly understand your needs and goals, your first and second visits in the office take the most time. Expect your first visit to last approximately 45 minutes. Your second visit (see below for more on that) will also be a bit longer as we will review goals, come up with a plan of action, and give you your first adjustment. I completely understand how busy life is! Once we have a clearer picture of how to help and a plan in place, most people find they are in and out of the office in 10-15 minutes.

A first visit often includes a detailed health history, posture study, flexibility study, spinal assessment study, neurological study, and balance study. We will talk about the goals you have with your chiropractic care. If x-rays are appropriate, we will discuss why and I can provide you with a referral for these to be taken at a convenient imaging facility.

As a specialist in both pediatric and pregnancy care, there are specific and advanced evaluations that I utilize for each.

Do you take my insurance? or How much will it cost?

A first visit includes a detailed history, chiropractic exam, specific evaluations, postural analysis, and any care provided that day. The cost of the first visit is $150. The office participates with Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you have BCBS, we will verify what it will contribute to your first visit.

I donate a portion of every exam to the YWCA domestic violence program to provide necessities to brave individuals and their families. Please see below for more details.

For care beyond your initial exam and review of findings, there are a couple of options for you:

  • “pay as you go” meaning you make a payment at the time of service.

  • utilize a payment plan which provides a significant savings for individuals and families through their recommendations for care.

You can expect care that is affordable and straightforward for the entire family. In addition, families find that utilizing proactive care actually gives them a savings with less frequent illnesses, medical doctor visits, and loss of work and productivity. They enjoy improved overall health. From your first visit to your last, you will know the cost beforehand, so that you can make a decision that works for you. Many families use Flexible Savings Account (FSA) or Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) as well.

What happens after my first visit?

Before you leave, we will schedule a second visit. At your second visit, we will review your exam findings. The review is included in your initial exam fee. During this review, I will point out any areas of your exam that I know I can help you with.  I will also review any test results.  Lastly, we will talk about options for care including time frame, frequency, and payment options for the most savings. While you always have the option to “pay as you go”,  you will find payment and family plans offer a bookkeeping savings that make it affordable for more frequent care or family care.

There are no contracts in my office. I will review a plan that I believe will meet your needs and goals. If things change for you, you move to Hawaii, or simply decide to stop your care at any point and you have chosen a payment plan, we will simply calculate the difference based on my “pay as you go” fee. I want you to feel good about your healthcare decisions. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

You can expect an office that wants to offer you the best.  This means a positive atmosphere and a level of care that continues even after your appointment is done.

Your Initial Exam Fee Supports Others.

I am committed to the knowing that we can do hard things and we can do this with the help of others. Our office supports brave women who are doing hard things. A portion of every new exam fee goes to the YWCA domestic violence program and Abby’s House; two organizations that support the necessary needs of brave women.
